If you’re actually an important person in real life, the Spark Nano GPS Tracker looks like a pretty cool doodad to keep in the pockets of your very-expensive pants. It’s basically a $200 panic button that alerts your friends and family that you’ve been kidnapped and/or marooned on an island somewhere.
Per the product description:

The regular version costs $199.95 and the six month version costs $449.95. If you’re important enough to need this device, you can probably afford to upgrade to the longer battery — although if it takes up to six months to find you, perhaps your friends, family, and the local police department need to take a quick Google Maps class at the learning annex.
I am experiecning long refresh times using the Spark Nano. I have experienced as much as 40 minutes between updates of location. This seems way out of line with the advertisments showing the tracking of cars or trucks at every turn.

You should not be having 40 minute delays in refresh times with the Spark Nano, or any other GPS tracker for that matter. I mean what good is a GPs device if it updates only every 40 minutes? I am unaware of how this particular product is supported, but I would contact Lightning GPS and/or Brickhouse security and explain to them your issue. They should connect you with a technical support representative who can diagnose the problem at no cost. Free technical assistance is common among GPS tracking manufacturers. However, some companies do not offer this service, and I would make sure you avoid buying any product that is not completely supported in this type of way
